Leo Greenfield

Artist Biography

Leo Greenfield is an artist with a passion for drawing. His works concentrate on illustrating from memory the ever-changing space of street life and culture. On paper or online, Leo expresses the silhouette and patterns of contemporary dress, creating intimate social portraits of people, places and their communities. 

Since 2008 Leo has shared his drawings online via his blog; leogreenfield.com, which has since grown into an archive of impressions of fashion culture observed from his own experiences. 

This project has seen the artist contribute to The Daily Telegraph UK, L'Officiel, Vogue, Haper's Bazaar, Wish Magazine, Architectural Digest and the Adelaide Review; where the concept behind his blog became a monthly column called Drawn to the City that ran from 2016 to 2020.

Leo has also illustrated numerous publications for Hardie Grant Books UK including Style Forever and collaborated with brands such as Chanel, Gucci, Brooks Brothers and Tiffany & Co.
